2. Catechumenate- An extended period where the candidates are provided with guidance and instruction about the teachings of the Catholic faith.
3. Purification and Enlightenment- This period is the doorway to the rest of Christian life and the ongoing call to conversion.
correspondence to the period of Lent- time of prayer and spiritual preparation.
4. Sacraments of initiation- Usually during the Easter Vigil the candidates are Baptised, Confirmed and together share the Eucharist as full members of the Catholic Church.
5. Catechesis after baptism- The doorway to the rest of Christian life and the ongoing call to conversion.
In this course you will learn about all the processes and responsibilities involved with being a Christian individual and how to live out your faith following in the footsteps of Christ. Practice will take place every fortnight on a Friday from 7:30-9:30pm. Throughout the program, each meeting will have a different topic and by the end the participant will have an extensive knowledge of the Catholic church and will have developed to the stage where they become full members of the Catholic Church.
