Any newly initiated members of the Catholic church have a mentor, who helps them process their spiritual experience and introduces them to other people who belong to the same catholic community. The newly initiated members can keep in touch with their mentor and their mentor can help them feel more included and welcomed into the Church.
At St Benedict's parish the newly initiated members have a once a month gathering which invite all newly initiated members to a fun trivia night at the parish hall where they answer questions about the RCIA experience and about the Sacraments of Initiation. This trivia night not only helps them in growing with the spiritual knowledge of the church but also helps them meet new people and work as a team just like the church does.
St Benedict's also provides a weekly youth group where the newly initiated members can be surrounded by their fellow Christians who have been through the same experience as they have and receive the opportunity to talk about their thoughts and feelings as they settle in to their new state of minds.
